Bergen County School in Ridgefield Becomes Two Stories Higher

Bergen County school goers in Ridgefield are soon to benefit an addition to the Current Ridgefield School. After much delay and struggle, the two-storey addition to the Shaler Academy is nearing completion. While this project is slated to be complete by early next month, the next phase involving the construction of 12 schoolrooms will take time up to mid April or early May. This project will cost $3.5 million and if it completes without hassle then students can be moved out of crowded classrooms into two different Bergen County schools. As per the $4.95 million bond approved by the borough in October 2004, the project should have been completed by the end of 200. Slated to begin in January 2005, the project faced plenty of delays and legal disputes, with some aspects still being under arbitration.

Real Estate Property revaluation for Edgewater

A property revaluation is on the cards for Edgewater after the last one in 1998. Over the coming few weeks, inspectors from Appraisal systems of Ridgewood will visit residences and businesses in the area. They will then determine the new assessments. This revaluation has been ordered by the Bergen County Board of taxation and the state Division of Taxation in 2004. While initially it was supposed to complete by the year 2005, the borough received an extension into this year. In 2006, the revaluation would be completed and put into effect from 2007 onwards. Appraisal Systems has thus received a contract worth $210,000 for the same. Click here for more details on Bergen County Real Estate property revaluation.
