Builder in Teaneck Sues Zoning Board

A builder in the Bergen County town of Teaneck who proposed the construction of a 52-unit luxury condominium complex has taken the action of suing the zoning board. The Bergen County home builder states to be taking this action as the board forfeited its chance to rule on the proposal. The plans of the builder, who is based in Ridgefield, were submitted on September 6 and the deadline of 120 days expired on December 6. The board however dismissed the application in February 2006. As per the complaint, this proposal by JMCK Holding Corp's should be approved by default as the board has failed to rule on the proposal within the stipulated 120 days period. However the construction proposal has drawn opposition from Teaneck neighbors also, as its construction requires various variances.
