Luxury housing in Demarest, Bergen County

Home sellers are now taking on new ideas for promoting their projects. One such unique mode has been adapted by the ultra luxurious housing of Bellaire town home estates in Demarest, Bergen County. The project attracted many prospective home buyers and food connoisseurs from across the world when the chefs from the Viking Culinary School, portrayed their skills at the exquisite kitchens in the gated housing community. This luxury housing project is conveniently located close to Manhattan, just a few miles from the George Washington Bridge and Lincoln tunnel and is much calm, very private and serene. The construction in the region is nearing completion and is open to purchasers who can close deals on the property in a month’s time and also occupy their new luxury home immediately.
The architecture of this exclusive housing community has been designed by renowned architect Robert Zampolin. Designed in a French Chateau style, prices of these homes begin from $1895000 onwards. Two distinct town home designs include the Turnberry floor plan with 6000 sq ft of living space and the Saint Andrews floor plan that covers 8000 sq ft of floor space. The project is the brainchild of American Properties Realty, a home building organization renowned for its luxury constructions.

Englewood violates law, says Department of Health

The Department of Health and senior services issued a warning to Englewood’s health department for hiring a health official full-time. It is mandatory for every municipal health department to do so as per the state law. Officials of the department warned that Englewood was otherwise breaking the law. Englewood officials argue that they have an acting health officer and are in discussions to enter into formal contract with the health officer of Elmwood Park. As per the Department of Health, Englewood will remain under violation of law until official documentation is provided by Englewood’s health department that it has hired a full-time, licensed health officer.

Tenafly works to improve emergency notification service

The borough of Tenafly is now working towards improving its emergency notification system. This system which already exists in Tenafly failed to notify the residents properly during the United Water problems that occurred last year in August. While Tenafly is a part of Bergen County’s 911 emergency notification system, the incident in August highlighted that the system has various flaws. One major technicality is that the emergency message can only be launched by a municipality after it contacts the Bergen County office of Emergency Management, which then activates the emergency phone service for the concerned municipalities. As a result, many residents were not notified till the end of the day. Alternatives like the high speed emergency notification service are thus now being considered. This is not a novel system and is being used by a few New Jersey municipalities. Besides this, the borough is also considering to call people to sign up online for the emergency notification service, which would allow them to access emergency messages through their emails.

Apartment complexes reign high in Bergen County

The housing market in Bergen County and the neighborhood is now showing an emerging trend towards the multifamily market. Experts reveal that Bergen County real estate has become quite attractive for investors and buyers are fast closing in on the good deals in the region. Three apartment complexes with a total of over hundred housing units were seen to sell in three different counties of Northern New Jersey. Gebroe-Hammer associates brokered all the three deals which brought in approximately $8.1 million as funds. The sales took place in Palisades Park of Bergen County, East Orange and Union City. Most housing complexes coming up in other towns are also selling fast and many constructions like the one in Palisades Park had 95% occupancy at the time of sale.

Activities in Teaneck

Various activities are underway in Teaneck as it seeks to improve the district and make it more convenient for the residents and new home buyers. The Teaneck Economic Development Corporation, a non profit organization is seeking people with a variety of experiences to work on the panel. This panel would look into efforts for improving the business district in the region. While people from any expertise and experience background are welcome, the board is specifically looking for business or property owners and bankers for their specific expertise. The closing date for application is November 20, 2007. Besides this, the Cedar Lane Management group has been recently formed by the Township council of Teaneck to look into improvement avenues of Cedar lane. This group is also seeking members to work on the panel. Leaf collections, curbside recycling pickups, hazardous material collection and a commuter parking survey are also on by the Teaneck department. The parking survey is meant to help the department understand the needs and loopholes in the current parking system.
