Proposed apartment building in Tenafly

123 Dean Drive Tenafly NJ

An application for variances for the development, listed as 123 Dean Drive, was filed by Mr James Lee & had its first hearing before the Board of Adjustment on March 7 2011.

The proposed plan for a 30 unit building is seeking variances, exceptions and waivers to be granted. The location for the proposed plan at 123 Dean Street for (known as lots 2,3 and 4  of Block 906) is in the B-2 business district. The plan which will include six affordable units requires the approval of a variance.

According to Elliot Urdang the lawyer representing Mr Lee, this is one of two sites in Tenafly designated by the Borough for inclusionary housing.As of today the Board of Adjustment of Tenafly held two hearings on the proposed plan hearing the opinions of various expert witnesses.  The hearing is to be continued on May 2nd 2011
