Tenafly Dog Park Discussion is Still On

The Dog Park Committee of Tenafly members continued their effort to establish a dog park as part of a presentation given to the governing body at the Oct. 11 mayor and council meeting.

Oval Park in Tenafly is one of the two locations the Dog Park Committee proposed for a dog park. The other site is Roosevelt Commons.

Pet owners and dog lovers alike attended the public meeting to support the effort to establish an open space for their dogs.

“Dog parks are very simple, innocuous intuitions,” said Bernard Elleson, chairman of the Dog Park Committee. “It would be like some of us coming to you and asking to create a library or school. These are things that enhance the quality of life in Tenafly. They make it a better place to live.” Read More
