Tenafly An Eclectic Town With Many Virtues

The Record ran a  feature article about Tenafly on August 28th enumerating the town’s many virtues. The forebears of borough historian Alice Rigney arrived in Tenafly in the 1880s. She has lived in the town her whole life and resides in a historic stone house that was moved from Rockland County, N.Y., in the 1940s. One of Rigney’s recent projects was directing the reconstruction of a 1908 stone bandstand in Huyler Park. “We celebrated on Memorial Day,” Rigney says, “and the high school band played.
