Tenafly Ranks #4 Best Suburb for Families in NJ and #24 Nationwide - Wow....

In a recent study by the website Niche.com, Tenafly was awarded a top-fourth ranking for Best Suburbs to Raise a Family in New Jersey. It was also the top rated suburban town in Bergen County. Tenafly also ranked #24 in the nation for Best Suburbs to Raise a Family.

Old Tappan ranked fifth highest among Bergen county boroughs, earning the #11 spot in New Jersey.

Niche.com rated the communities based on a variety of criteria, including age demographics, school ratings, crime rates, and access to affordable housing, child care, libraries, and grocery stores. High ranks indicate that a town attracts young families who are looking for good schools and a safe environment in which to raise children.

Tenafly received such high rankings on Niche’s list because of its high home values, high rent costs, and low unemployment rates ( 4.6% vs 6.3% national). 70% of its citizens are gen highly educated with graduate and under graduate degrees and receive high income, with the median household income at $123,966.
