EXPLORING POOLS IN BERGEN COUNTY’S VIBRANT TOWNS

When the summer sun is blazing and temperatures soar, there’s no better way to beat the heat than taking a refreshing dip in a pool. For residents and visitors in Bergen County, New Jersey, the options for public pools are aplenty. In this blog, we will explore the delightful public pools in some of the county’s charming towns, including Tenafly, Closter, Cresskill, Demarest, Englewood, Haworth, and Norwood. 1. Tenafly

   Tenafly is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, and the Tenafly Municipal Pool Complex located at; 165 Grove St, Tenafly, 07670, is a testament to that. With a large main pool, a separate kiddie pool, water slides, and interactive play structures, this pool complex offers a delightful experience for people of all ages. The well-maintained facilities and friendly staff ensure a memorable day in the water. 

   Club Hours | June 23rd through the end of the season|  Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM |  Saturday: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM  | Sunday: Noon to 7:00 PM

   Tenafly JCC Aquatics located at 411 East Clinton Ave Tenafly, is a member facility featuring an indoor pool that is open year-round, and two outdoor pools that are open in the summer.Our beautiful indoor aquatic facility includes:

   A six-lane, 25-meter indoor pool heated to between 81°-84° degrees. With a depth of 4′ – 12′.
   An indoor training-sized pool heated to 90°. Featuring both shallow waters, depth of 2′-3′ side.
   Our seasonal outdoor facilities include:

   A five-lane, newly renovated, 25-meter outdoor pool with a diving board.
   An outdoor intermediate and baby pool.
   An intermediate pool, for our camp program, equipped with shallow water, water slide for kids.
   As well as a splash pad water park!
   *All outdoor pools are heated to accommodate early morning lap swim.
   *Each pool has an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard on duty at all times.

2. Cresskill

   The Cresskill Pool and Swim Club located at 3rd street, Cresskill, New Jersey 07626, provides a fantastic aquatic retreat for residents and guests alike. The facility boasts an Olympic-sized pool, a kiddie pool, water slides, and shaded areas for relaxation. Regular swimming lessons, swim teams, and various events make it a hub of community activity during the summer months.

3. Demarest

   The Demarest Swim Club located at Wakelle  Dr. Demarest is a hidden gem tucked away in a picturesque setting. With its beautiful grounds, a large main pool, a kiddie pool, and plenty of lounge chairs, this pool provides a peaceful escape from the daily grind. The pool club also hosts social events and offers swimming lessons, making it an excellent spot for both relaxation and community engagement.  Pool hours | Sunday and Monday 12:00 PM-7:30 PM |  Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 AM-7:30 PM

4. Englewood

   The Englewood Swim Club located at 341 Engle St Englewood is a fantastic place to cool off and unwind. It is a private family-oriented club that affords our members the opportunity to enjoy year-round sports as well as a variety of social events and recreational activities. With multiple activities catering to different age groups, water slides, and a splash pad, there’s never a dull moment here. The facility also features a snack bar.

5. Haworth

   Haworth Swim Club is located at 350 Lake Shore Dr Haworth NJ, a private club nestled in a tranquil residential area, that offers a delightful pool experience. The club features a large pool, a kiddie pool, a diving board, and shaded seating areas. Members enjoy a close-knit community vibe and regular social events, making it a favorite destination for locals. The three pools are open during the summer season and offer a competitive swim team as well as swim lessons for all members.

   Back Pool: Unheated
   Junior Olympic, 24-meter pool with diving board and lap lanes

   Kiddie Pool:  Newly renovated, state-of-the-art

   Snack Stand: Enjoy the nice selection of snacks and drinks.

   Picnic Area: Tables, charcoal barbecue grills.

6. Norwood

   The Norwood Swim Club is located at 80 Hudson Avenue Norwood, NJ 07648, and is a beloved spot for families in the area. Its well-maintained pools, including a main pool and a kiddie pool, are perfect for all ages. The club’s family-oriented approach and community-focused events make it a wonderful place to relax, socialize, and beat the summer heat.Norwood Swim Club season starts for WEEKENDS ONLY on Memorial Day weekend. .

   Hours of operation:
   Sunday and Monday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
   Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m.- 8 p.m.
