Old Tappan, Norwood and Harrington Park Schools

The three towns of Old Tappan, Norwood, and Harrington Park offer good education facilities through public and private schools. However, schools of Norwood and Harrington Park are available to children from K-8 grades only. Children usually attend the Northern Valley Regional High School of Old Tappan for higher education.

Northern Valley Regional High School, Old Tappan

This is a comprehensive 4-year regional high school that serves grades 9 to 12. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and by the New Jersey Department of Education. It is noted to have a student to teacher ratio of 15.3. Students from towns of Norwood, Harrington Park, and Norvale attend this school. Students from Rockleigh come here as part of a sending/receiving relationship.

This region has one elementary public school. While many students have options to study K to 8 in Norwood schools, children usually attend the Northern Valley School of Old Tappan for higher education.
