Many Are Yet To Re-Register To Tenafly Schools

According to Superintendent Lynn Trager many families are yet to re-register their children, although the extended dead line ended last week.

The re-registration was approved by the school board in mid-January. At that time, there had been reports that some students attending the Tenafly School system may not have been authorized. In light of the slower than expected re-registration pace, Trager said there might be a third phase to allow all families a full compliance with the requirement.

“It’s really important that you participate in the registration, or your child will not be able to attend the Tenafly public schools come September,” she said.

With the State cutting funds that had been there before Tenafly is trying to make sure that those benefitting from this top ranked school system are those that pay the taxes required to sustain it.

Student that will be discovered to be enrolled although not authorized will be dealt with by the administration on a case by case basis
