Tenafly – New Building Identification Law

The new Building Numbering  regulations require that all building be legibly numbered so as to be easily readable . The main purpose for this law is to provide easy  and accurate access to buildings in case of emergencies. The ordinance  must be complied with by March 31 2011 .

The markings requires a minimum of 4 to 5 inches high by 1/2 inch wide numerals to be place within or above  10 feet  from the building’s main entrance and on the side of the building facing the street.
