TenaflyThe opportunity Shop at The Church of The Atonement (97 Highwood Ave )announced its buy 2 get one free –sale to be held during February on Thursdays 10am to 4pm and, on Saturdays 10am to 1pm. The store will feature a variety of clothing from new to slightly uses, children’s . The non- profit store is open September to June and accepts consignment items on Thursdays. TenaflyTemple Sinai – Eight students from Temple Sinai in Tenafly attended the “l’taken Seminar” on January 20-23 . The seminar  is a Jewish leadership and Social justice Conference for high school student from across the U.S. and is sponsored by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington D.C. The students delivered speeches they wrote on subjects of their choice when they visited the offices of their senators & representatives.

TenaflyThe  Senior Center in Tenafly held this month two events  for 55 and over.  On February 9th the lecture was given on How To Prevent Falls , a topic of main concern for the growing older. The lecture was given by the Physical therapist Eli Bernal.   On February 16 the center held a program on Chinese Brush Painting given by instructor Leeann Hsu. Tenafly Nature Center – Feb 29, March 7 & 14 – Kids 4-5 are invited for an eight week after school series (from 3:45 to 4:45) to explore the center . Pre-registration is required . For more information and fees call 201-568-6093. On March 18 The nature center board of trustees will also host a dinner at the Tenafly Clinton Inn to honor Senator Frank Lautenberg when he will be presented with Founder’s award for Conservation.

Tenafly Welcome Committee – March 18 – is co – sponsoring a free maple sugaring at the Nature center on 313 Hudson Ave from 2pm to 3pm for Tenafly’s new residents.

Tenafly JCC Current EventsMarch 19 1:30pm to 3pm – Interested in keeping up with current events local, national and international, including Israel, presidential elections, social issues and more , than come for this free and open discussion

The Tenafly Garden ClubMay 2 – Do you beleive that there are “”celery farms ” in Bergen County ? This interesting subject will be discussed by Dr. Gerald Barrack on Monday, May 2nd at 7:30 p.m. in the Garden Room located in Davis-Johnson Park
