Tenafly Passes Resolution for Gun Control

“I don’t know the nuances of a lot of the other stuff but to me I’m not sure why anybody in this country needs that kind of equipment,” Mayor Rustin said. “We should do whatever we can to limit the proliferation of it.”

on Feb. 12. Tenafly borough council unanimously passed a resolution aimed at supporting gun regulation and curbing the use of semi-automatic weapons .

Councilman Barry Honig criticized Rustin, saying, “This is a state matter, not a local one.”

Councilman Anthony Barzelatto disagreed with Honig and said he thinks it should involve the local government
